Math Sequences

This is a basic set of pathways that a student can follow in mathematics. There is movement permitted, based on student performance and teacher recommendations, between these pathways. Majority of high school students reach a level of Precalculus by senior year. However, some students choose to accelerate in order to take a Calculus course for their fourth-year mathematics. The district offers acceleration options for students placed in 8th Grade Mathematics with the goal of reaching Calculus by senior year of high school. Please consult with your child's school counselor to further discuss their placement options.
